Appalachia Studios (then called KittyCity Productions Corp) was the result of a 5 year contract between KittyCity and Paramount Pictures in August of 2022.

KittyCity assumed full ownership of the company until September 2023, when it was sold off to Paramount in order to pay off $2M in debt. At the request of attornies leading the trade, it was rebranded to Appalachia Studios. as of 2024, KittyCity still owns 40% equity in Appa, while Paramount has full control over financing and legal decisions.

The privately owned media firm regularly recieves $25,000 of monthly funding to use towards video production, and purchase of new equipment. Originally, the two agreed on

$50,000 of monthly funding, but was initially halved due to legal complications, alongside repeated violation policies. The $25,000 penalized by Paramount is now being invested into future business ventures for KittyCity.
